Habitat Improvement: Fall Seed Collecting – Moraine Kettles Preserve, Verona Segment, Dane County

Join the Ice Age Trail Alliance for seed collecting at Moraine Kettles Preserve in Dane County on the Verona Segment, an open-house event from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. You will harvest seeds from native prairie plants such as cream gentian, goldenrod, and sky blue aster, with staff and volunteers providing guidance, clippers, buckets, and bags. All ages and abilities are welcome to help with this habitat improvement task; please register to save your spot.

Begin your journey on gravel paths that transition to sand, dirt, rocks, and even cliffs, providing ever-changing scenery.
